Secret Opera has a really exciting approach to their prodductions, there is often an unusual angle.
They often put on "Secret Opera" evenings, where the audience gradually finds out which opera is being put on by a set of clues being released in the days leading up to the performance. go and experience a performance yourself, you'll enjoy it! (I started working with Secret Opera in July 2016 and will appear in three of their upcoming productions during October-December 2016)
A new, exciting, professional opera company that I work with. Tagline "contemporary, sophisticated, elegant, edgy, opera for the modern world".
I sang the role of Susanna in their premiere production of Le Nozze di Figaro, Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) in November 2016, and will sing Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) in November 2016.
I really enjoyed singing the role of Miss Wordsworth in Harrow Opera's production of Albert Herring in March, 2016.
"Harrow Opera are a friendly group of professional, semi-professional and amateur singers who come from all over London and the South East. We aim to provide opportunities for our members to develop their skills as both actors and singers. We pride ourselves in maintaining high standards for both our staged and concert performances."
Opera Camerata is a small, but perfectly formed, amateur opera company, based in Edinburgh, Scotland
Opera Camerata stage an opera once a year, in the Church Hill Theatre in Morningside, and occasionally perform at concert events.
I'm singing the role of Olympia in their production of the Tales of Hoffmann in October 2015.
Aria Alba - Opera for All:
Based in Edinburgh, Aria Alba was set up by Dr Nell Drew, the Artistic Director to provide opportunities for singers of every level to sing Opera, from amateurs to emerging professionals. If you're interested in joining the chorus or would like to audition for roles, please contact the company for more information. Aria Alba gave me my first ever role, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, in 2012, and I went on to sing Belinda (Dido and Aeneas, 2013) and Die Konigin der Nacht (Die Zauberflote, or "One flew over the Birdman's nest?", 2014) with them as well, all productions performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in various venues.
Bringing opera to people who may not ever have heard live opera before but would like to know more. Performing operatic arias in cafes and pubs, the concerts are very relaxed and inviting for everyone, performers and audiences alike.
The company is currently raising funds for their first full production which will take place in 2016.

The National Opera Studio plays an essential role at the heart of British opera. The NOS is engaged by Arts Council England and the UK's leading Opera Companies - English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Opera North, the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera and Welsh National Opera to provide professional training of the highest quality for singers and repetiteurs who have the potential to become the leading artists of their generation.
I have had the pleasure of being a participant on the NOS Opera Intensive Course twice, in August 2013 and June 2015 and learned an incredible amount! On the Intensive course, you get to study with a selection of their tutors in a series of masterclasses, lessons, staging workshops and coaching sessions for an entire week. The tutors are all really amazing, and incredibly positive and encouraging. I couldn't recommend the course enough!
"We are delighted to present our modular opera course for classical singers wanting further to develop their performance and communication skills for the professional stage. Our London opera studio is located within walking distance of Hoxton Station, situated in the heart of one of the most creative areas of London.
Uniquely, the Hoxton Opera Studio will combine ongoing part-time training alongside professional development with the repertory activities of secret opera."
I took part in the NLOP Performance and Communication course in March 2014 and learned a huge amount! The course took place over a weekend, where you received individual tuition and master classes from excellent tutors (when I took part, the tutors were Miriam Murphy, Wendy Dawn Thompson and Neil Baker, and the repetiteurs Andrew Charity and Richard Black).
Co-Opera Co. was founded by Soprano Kate Flowers and Lighting Designer Paul Need: it is an innovative opera company which has at its heart the welfare and promotion of professional opera singers and orchestral players in the early stages of their careers, post-graduates nearing the conclusion of their course, budding conductors, directors, repetiteurs and people working towards a career in the technical side of the operatic profession.
I took part in the Co-Opera Easter Development Course in 2013: I very much enjoyed it and learned a huge amount.
A Concert series that I've taken part in for two years now: it started off a few years ago as the Ruislip and Harrow Music Festival but has this year expanded to several venues, so it changed name to reflect that.
Blurb: "Welcome to the website for the Ruislip and Harrow Music Festival. Thank you for your interest and support. We aim to promote more classical concerts to a wider audience in our area, to give opportunities to showcase talented professional musicians with local connections.
We hope you will come and enjoy this year's free Summer Music at
St John's Church, Greenhill, Harrow and
St Paul's Church, Hammersmith.
It will include beautiful piano music by Schubert and Chopin, popular arias from opera and operetta, music from film and stage, and rare chamber works,
Neil is an amazing pianist that I've been working with since 2015. He gives solo piano recitals all over the UK and abroad. Neil is a fantastic accompanist and also works with lots of singers and instrumentalists for duo recitals.
Neil is also a composer and I had the pleasure of premiering his beautiful song "Dream within a Dream" for soprano and string Trio at a recent recital for Moffat Music Society.
My Duo! I sing as well as play the viola in this ensemble: it's of high quality and really versatile as we supply both a professional soprano and pianist for the ceremony as well as professional string players for the reception.
"The duo with a difference! Three duos in one:
violin and viola, violin and soprano and soprano and piano."
I work with Afton Strings on a regular basis for weddings and recitals: they are great and I can really recommend them! "Quartet or string orchestra: we supply the perfest accompaniment for your event. The Scotland based ensemble is available for weddings, functions and product launches."
A great trio/quartet, who I have worked with on many occasions: I can really recommend them!
